Default rear speakers

My rear speakers make my console hot on my 95 Electra Glide Ultra. Is this a speaker issue or something else? The right speaker has low sound and the left speaker crackles at higher volume. If I replace these speakers what ohm speakers are right for this bike?

First disconnect the speakers. Then determine if your console is still getting hot. (This is new) if it's still getting hot. Good chance it's something else. If the speakers are fried you don't want to go back in with the same speakers. Time to upgrade your system. You can do a cheap upgrade for $350.
