Default 2014+ tour pak speakers

I have the biketronics 4180 amp with the Titan 2 in fairing and and lowers on my 2015 road glide. I just acquired a tour pak and was looking at 2 options. 1 to add speakers to the stock speaker pods. What's the best that will fit? 2 sell off stock speaker pods and buy the eglide goodies speaker pods that are deep enough for a 3rd set up Titan 2s.

I am assuming the TP you purchased is a Rushmore TP?

This is the first I have seen the new eglide goodies 3" deep TP pods for Rushmore models!

You have a few options. The best drop in speaker option for the stock TP pods are the Polk Audio MM651's.

Another choice is to use the V-Twin Audio speaker adapters for the Rushmore pods. These will allow for the BT6.5 and some other 6.5 speakers. They do take up some passenger room thou. About $100 shipped. Then add speakers.

The eglide pods are $250 plus speakers. It's hard to tell for sure from the small pic if they take up passenger room or not.

As for speakers, I had the BT6.5's in the TP pods for about a day and pulled them out. They were way to bright for me back there.

You can add a 1/2 inch spacers to the pods to accommodate a deeper speaker.
I added the said spacer and now I have been able to install ARC moto 602s and hertz hcx 165. I have also ran the Infinity Kappa 62.11 in the pods.

I have the E-Glide goodies tour pak pods. I'll grab a picture here in a few, but I've have Moto 602s and Focal EC165Ks (KRC replacement) in them with no problem. I used the mounting hardware that came with the Moto 602s and the Arc grills

With tax that's over $300!

I think these are the spacers BB is talking about. I have used them to install the Kappa's in the pods, but I could not get the 602's to fit so YMMV.
But for $6 it is certainly worth a try.

A good drop in speaker for the Rushmore pods is the Alpine SPR 60. I'm running them and have been very impressed as well.

do I have to use that ugly x looking grill on the polk or can I cover them with a traditional grill?
