Default Stereo Upgrade Complete....oh wait no its not.. HELP

Ok so here it goes... I'm swapping out my stock HU for a Alpine 149BT, (i keep changing my mind between that and the sony m70bt), ARC moto 600.4 amp is going in (Thanks Haze). I'm currently running Hertz HCX 165's in the fairing and right now the plan is to keep them. Now my next dilemma is speakers for the lowers. I've read and searched and have come down to these. Hertz MPX 165.5 pro or SV 165.1 (no horns or tweeters at this moment). What I'm looking for is a good clean sound that can be heard on that highway at 85mph over my D&D Fatcat. Thanks in Advance.

The best you can expect from lower at that speed is fill, and the only way your going to get that is with pro audio speakers such as the SV165. BAL has used the Tempesta speakers in the lowers also, I just don't know how the two compare. I'm sure there are more options out there but not all will fit in the lower pods.

What made you choose the Alpine versus a Kenwood or Sony HU?

Honestly I have no real preference between the Sony and the Alpine. I've run alpine in my cars in the past and have always had good luck with them. Haven't heard anything negative about them on here so I just went with what I know.

Decided to go with the Hertz MPX 165.5 in the fairing and move the HXC 165's to the lowers. Hopefully everything installed next week.

Nice combo I think you'll like. I've never had any issues with Alpine HU's I've had over the years.
