Default Boom audio amp/speaker issues

Back in June, I installed the Boom Audio cruiseramp and speakers (p/n 76320-08). After about 400 miles of riding, I noticed the speakers started popping and fading in and out. Sounded like the amp was failing or overheating. So in an attempt to save my new audio system I shut it down for the day. Tried it the following day, same issue as soon as I turned it on.

Anybody experienced or heard of this audio system being a waste of $$$ ?

Have you done anything to check power/voltages, etc.? Sounds like you installed it yourself, did you go back and check all your connections?

If your lucky it may be a loose ground. Needs to be a good solid ground.

Next thing I'd check would be the relay circuit.

Had a chance this weekend to look at my Boom Audio system. All wiring checked out fine. I did figure out that it now takes about 3 minutes of operating the audio system to make it start popping and cracking. The popping and cracking comes from both speakers. I would say the amp is toast !!!!

Default boom amp

i have a 2014 street glide in which i added the boom audio speakers and amp also had to have the radio flashed. it worked great the first week, plenty of power and great sound. the first week the right hand speaker blew, two weeks later radio was working fine and i decided to turn off the radio power before i put the bike away. this morning i woke up to go for a ride and i have no sound. the stereo powers up i-pod is charged, mute button is off, all fuses are good ,stereo shows song playing, no sound, my guess is the amp is fried, any ideas of what else to check, how do you check the amp?, all connections are good, has anyone had problems with the new 2014 amp?

could be a voice coil in a speaker heating up and causing the amp to short out.

Since it's a 14 and they haven't been out very long, I would assume the work and equipment is still under warranty. bring it back and tell them to make it right. That's a lot of $ you spent on that stuff for it to be giving you issues already.
