I have a stock HK head unit with Boom Amp and Boom fairing speakers. Sounds good enough but I wish it would go louder. It is great until about 50% of the bars or just above and then even though I turn the volume up, no change. I know with some amps you can adjust the gain. Any way to do it with the Boom amp or the stock head unit?

 

No...gain is fixed

 

Dang! And nothing in the head unit can be tweaked either?

You may actually be having a conflict with the anti-clipping feature of the radio and the AVC.
