Default Radio/ Biketronics issues

Looking to see if anyone has a solution to this problem. I have a 2007 FLHT. It came with a radio, speakers, amp and Biketronics retroradio hook up. The radio crapped out so I replaced it with a Sony DSX-S100. Sony said the steering wheel remote wiring was the same for both radios. Had to replace the speakers also as one had the wires pulled out. Put in some Hogtunes speakers. Now the problem is that the hand controls are reversed on the bike. When we finished the install everything seemed to be working fine. I start riding down the road and the radio seems possessed. It changes bands without any input. I checked to see if it was in demo mode and it is not. Biketronics replaced the module with a newer one but that does not seem to help. Also ran thru all the troubleshooting options and the only one left is to remove the biketronics piece to see if the radio is bad. But to do that need to rewire the bike pretty much so that there is power to the radio. Has anyone have this happen to them? There seem to be a few bikes with this issue.

Stock handle bars. The hand controls were added by previous owner. Everything worked great until I needed to replace the radio. Maybe should have stuck with same radio but didn't want a cd player.

Well figured out what was causing the problem. The Biketronics Retroradio is the culprit. Unplugged the black cable from the radio and it works properly, no skipping around. But of course I do not have the use of my hand controls. Have sent a couple emails to Biketronics, waiting for a response on how they are going to fix it.
