since winter will not go away here in illinois, i have plenty of time to do things i wouldnt normally do, so i made my own amp mount, figured it beat velcroing it to the top of the player. I have the dimensions if anyone else would like to make one, sony cd player, hawgwired mount kit.

the measurements are 4 wide by 11 long, once you have your piece of steel cut, bend the ends at a 90 degree angle, I measured out a 1 1/4 and bent it there, plenty of room to keep the amp off the radio, Then i drilled my holes and mounted the amp mount between the oem brackets and the hawg wired brackets, worked perfectly.
