Default Stereo upgrade for 2013 Street glide

Been searching through all these threads on stereo upgrades and lots of choices but can't find feedback on what I am looking for. I plan on installing a 120R with a boarzilla 2-1 with wrapped baffle. What is the best setup that will allow me to hear the stereo cruising at 65 or beyond without major distortion? I plan on going with just a 2 speaker setup with a amp for now and may upgrade the stereo. Haven't read about anyone running the same motor setup and giving feedback on it!

I'd go the route of the Biketronics BT7P1 7.1" speakers and either the RF PBR300x2 or the new SS PN2.350D. Either amp will drive those speakers very well.

I have the D&D Fatcat 2:1 setup and I'm really not liking the fact that it's so loud at cruising speeds and all I have is a 103 with cams. I can't imagine how loud that 120R and boarzilla are going to be but I can tell you I wouldn't want to be following behind you for any length of time. :-)

Thanks sounds like a good combo, I looked at the Biketronics speakers you mentioned and it says For ElectraGlide fairing 1996-Up? Will these fit in a 13 Street Glide?

Yes it will fit. The ElectraGlide fairing means the Bat Wing fairing that you have on the Street Glide

Any reason you aren't recommending the MM651's?
I ask, because I'm also in the planning stages of the upgrade from a Hogtunes setup for my Street Glide.

Would I be better served with the BT7P1's in the fairing mated to a RF PBR300x2 or the new SS PN2.350D, and some MM691's in saddle lids mated to another RF PBR300x2 or the new SS PN2.350D? Or simply a SS PN4.520D driving all 4 speakers...?

couple of reasons...
1.) little larger cone surface so a little bit more bottom end sound
2.) with this engine and exhaust setup and as loud as that's going to be, he's sure to blow them and BT is excellent about replacing their failed products.

you're always best to match components so I'd stick with the 651s in the fairing, the 691s in the saddlebags, and the 4.520D. Don't really see a need to install 2 seperate amps here. If you're worried about FM reception then check out Gone Riding's post about the ferrite core.
