Default Radio Problems

After washing my bike I noticed the cd door was open. The radio works but the display is blank. Any Ideas??

Turn it off and leave it off. Take a blow dryer and blow inside that door for a while.

Better to take the radio out, remove the top cover and use a blow dryer. If the door was open while you were washing a lot of water is inside and it only takes 1 drop to fry the radio if that drop is sitting in a bad spot.

If you can't take the radio out like the man says don't turn it on, for at least 3 to 4 days. If the air temp around the bike is not at least 70 degrees with below 40% humidity the water inside will not evaporate for some time.

If you powered up the radio when there was water in it the damage may have already been done. It is very difficult to get all the water out, you have to let it air dry even after you use a hair dryer.

Leave it for a few days and see if the display works. If not give Iron Cross Audio a call, you may have to send it in for repair.

sounds like a perfect excuse to upgrade. Or you can send it in to Ironcross audio and they can fix it. cost wise either way will cost about the same.
