Default PBR300x2 ground wire RFK 10 kit

For those of you with this amp using the RFK 10 wiring kit, did you get the ground wire all the way to the head unit? It looks short to me.

Yes. Depending on your kit I was able to run power and ground to battery from amp in fairing.

I had to purchase a separate ground wire because the one in the kit was too short.

I have this kit and yes, the ground is too short.
But the red cable is too long, so i cut the excess, put shrink wrap sheath, crimped a round faston and assembled it all.

I used the exact amp and wiring kit on my SG... Start at the battery with the fused end of the power wire and run it to where the amp is going to be mounted. Cut it off, leaving a little excess (6" or so). I used the left over Red wire to make my ground and ran it to the battery as well, marking both ends of the wire with Black heat shrink so as not to confuse which wire is power/ground. You'll only need a large ring terminal for the ground end of the wire at the battery.

If you read the Rockford Fosgate product bulletin, it outlines the need to ground the amp directly to the battery.

Thanks for the help. I built a long one as Ratt did. Worked perfect.
