Infinity Kappa 62.11i or Biketronics 7.1
Guys, I'm getting ready to re-due the audio on my 2012 SG.
I took it to a local audio shop and they did Polk DB651's in the fairing and lowers and Polk Db691's in the Hogtune lids and it's powered by 2 PBR 300x4...ugh...
Sitting in the garage, it sounds perfect. On the highway, it sounds like crap. There's distortion and at 70+ MPH, I do not hear my music well.
I already know that I'm going to exchange the amps for 2 PBR 300x2. In addition, I'm going to add the Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9's. Our audio guru directed me to the BT791's for the fairing and Titan II for the lowers. On Friday, I'm going to order everything but I've noticed that alot of guys are going with Infinity Kappa 62.11i OVER the Biketronics.
One of the deciding factor is price (the Biketronics are $269.95) vs (Kappa are selling for $129 a pair on ebay), otherwise, I'm not sure which to choose because both seems like great speakers. I'm looking for clarity; durability and power. Also, I'm keeping my stock head unit.
If I choose Kappa, I'll run 2 set's, in my fairing and lower's.
Thanks!

the main reason for the Infinity is the price point. The major thing to keep in mind is the Infinity are 2ohm vs BT 4 ohm so that will play a KEY role in how this system will be wired up and what equipment will be needed to accomplish your end goal.
IMO, with 2 PBR300x2 amps you'd be better suited with the 4 ohm speakers

Do you want great speakers or very good speakers for the price.
I pulled the trigger and went with BT 7.1's after reading so many positive reviews on their clarity at hwy speed. Also bought their 2180 amp. it has enough power to push 2 more speakers if I ever add them.
Sorry, can't tell you what they sound like yet since they won't be here 'til Monday.
Remember to tell them you're a forum member for 5% discount, add another 5% if you are or were military.

You need to call their 800# , then tell them you are a HDF member. They'll ask for your HDF user name and proof of military service.
Just remember its up to you to ask for discount(s). The price they quoted me was a little cheaper than shown on website.
