I'm looking to change out my stock speakers and HU on my '08 SG. Not sure about which HU to go with (opinions accepted), but I'm pretty sure I have decided to go with the BT 7.1 and a PBR300x2 to drive them. My question is, should I install some type of tweeter on the fairing also? I do plan on some lids and 6x9's with another amp in the future, but in all honesty it'll probably be next summer before that happens.

 

I have the 7.1's and there is no need for adding tweeters.

 

I don't think so, that's probably my favorite thing about the 7.1s. A lot of speakers at a high volume tend to becouse very high pitched, or screamy. Painfull to listen to. The bt stay full and don't become ear piercing. Just my opinion
