Default BT4180/BT477 (2 pair) in a 2016 Road Glide Ultra

Bill and company:

I currently have a 2011 Street Glide and my audio setup is as follows: a Jensen HD1BT feeding a BT4180. The BT4180 powers BT7P1s in the fairing and BT477s in CVO lower fairing pods in parallel from the Front channel, and BT477s in modified HogTunes Tour Pak pods and BT479s in HogTunes saddlebag lids in parallel off the Rear channel. I'm currently looking at trading this Street Glide on a 2016 Road Glide Ultra over the next few months.

I have two questions, but the most important is this: I have a BT4180...what is different between that amp and the BT4180.14 you feature for "2014 and up" bikes? Can I install my "old" BT4180 onto a Road Glide Ultra without any issues/"gotchas"?

Also, do the BT477 speakers fit without issue in the new TourPak pods on the Rushmore bikes?

My plan, at least for the moment, is to swap my SS PN4.520 amp and Pioneer speakers (TS-D1602s in the fairing, lowers and TP pods and TS-D6902s in the HT saddlebag lids) back into my Street Glide, keeping all my Biketronics parts to install on the 2016 Road Glide Ultra I'll be getting. (I'll also likely have to sell the BT7P1s/BT479s, since they won't fit on a Road Glide Ultra.)

Will the older generation BT parts work? Do the BT477s "drop in" to the new Road Glide fairing and new Tour Pak speaker pods? If not, what extra parts/pieces/harnesses will be needed to upgrade the 2016 Road Glide Ultra's speakers/amp, and do you offer these things for sale?

Please advise, as I really do NOT want to invest in BOOM! junk only to have to swap it out later!

4180 is fine. the difference in the .14 is the LOC that you are given. Instead of the SNI-15, you get the SNI-35. the difference between the two is that the 35 is adjustable.

The rear speakers will not fit without spacers. V-twin audio makes a good spacer

Hi,

We can supply the amp mounting plate, the SNI-35 output adapters, new amp turn-on connector, rear speaker break-out harness, and the front speaker rings needed to move your parts. As ducatidesmo said you will need the V-Twin Audio adapter rings to use our 6.5" in the new rear pods.

Bill
