Default Turbo Cams choice.

I'm thinking that the 120R cams, cams that are expecting partial vacuum at the throttle body but instead are finding boost, are bad choices for the street. Plus, racing cams with large overlaps would love a throttle that is always wide open. There must be cam sets out there designed for street turbo. Trask company is now offering a turbo cam set but I don't have the specs, and maybe the CVO 110 cams would work. Any other ideas?

The 120R has very high compression for a turbo application. Call Trask to see if their turbo cam will work with your compression ratio. I'm betting that the cam was designed for a stock compression 103.

Andrews Cams makes custom ground cams. I would also call them and discuss having a custom grind for you build. More $$$...

The SE 255 cams (CVO 110 cams) will not work with your build. Again, too much compression.... Might consider having some lower compression pistons made.

Excessive Overlap and long exhaust duration will hurt your performance. Get on google and get smart on turbo cam selection before you make a decision...

I'm not against lowering my compression. I've got more work to do as far as book-learning, researching on-line and calling around. Mechanics that I've asked so far, have not done turbo or supercharger work and don't have the experience to fall back on. To it's credit the bike already runs very fast.

I'll call Frank. By the way, yesterday in my mailbox a book arrived from Amazon. Turbochargers, by Hugh Macinnes. I avoided the one by Corky Bell because of the reviews. And this book lists motorcycles as one of the subjects. 160 pages of good reading. I won't end up knowing it all but I'll know more than I do now.

Check out an author called Graham Bell. He has written a damn good book on forced induction.
