Looks like my posting abilities are back again... Austin, Frank is a great source of info and great guy. Has tried to help me figure out a lot of the electronic trickery to lie to the ecu so it doesn't know its a boost setup.
Right now with the tune Austin runs in the 1200... with the bike hot from a 30min ride straight onto a dyno to make a few pulls it will make 100hp with a 8psi actuator and be safe to ride home. When I dynoed mine I got the bike hot in a stop and go trip to the local dyno shop. Let it sit and heat soak for a few min then we put it on the dyno and ran the **** outta it.... Yes that sounds stupid right? My goal was to see what I could expect it to make all the time in traffic. No cool down cycles or dyno tricks, I'm a datalog tuner not a dyno guy. The goals at the time weren't to make monster power but to make solid safe power that doesn't spit parts out the bottom. Something you can ride to work everyday. Drag Race and ride it home instead of trailering it. The concept behind Austin's turbo setup isn't monster power... its to hit the magic sportster marker everyone tries to hit at 100hp and do it with a easy install that will always be safe.
Going up to 14psi is gonna require some trickery yet on a 1200. I personally believe a 2bar Map is going to be a must to really dial it all in and make it all safe as well as better. 8psi you can get away with tuning off the stock 1bar, for more you need more resolution.... which we will learn to do with a stock ecu, just gotta trick it into making it happen.
Austin, meet Drago, Drago meet Austin.... Drago is a wealth of info and knows a bit about forcefed HDs, he will honestly tell you he doesn't play in the sportster world a lot of the time...which I respect. Most guys who do HDs don't say that yes sportsters are different than the others, Drago does. Yes they are different. I think in the near future, Drago and some other talents out there will help unlock more sportster goodness and my hopes is that what we are all struggling to learn on the XL side can also help understandings on the TC and Vrod side so everyone can grow together and step farther forward

I really like the look of that hellcat system in the mat black. And I really like the power to weight ratio of the Sportster to begin with. Its corners like a dream. I cam pull the front tire with the mods I have just with the pul of the throttle, my wife freaks. I guess it's the combat vet in me that loves the ragged edge to make me still feel alive. I like the thought if 14 PSI and a FMIC. Is the Hellcat turco a T-3?
