Default Boot lace in procharger

Went for a long ride today. As I was riding home, my foot was suddenly yanked up and off of the peg. Wasn't really sure what had happened (but I had an idea) so I pulled over. Apparently my boot came untied while I was riding and my boot lace was sucked into the procharger. It shredded about 10 inches off of the boot lace. The only visible damage is to the inlet screen. I pulled off the bypass valve and bonnet. Found lots of small pieces of the lace in the air filter. The impeller looks undamaged but I think it needs further inspection.

Learn from my mistakes men.... I can only shake my head and laugh at this....

I'm sure it's fine. Cloth laces or leather?

Laces scare me, as I have heard to them getting caught on the shifter etc., and when you go to put your foot down...you can't. !!

I wear Dingo leather boots...same pair for 10 years now, re-heeled twice......100 bucks well spent.

Definitely something to get your excitement level rising...always hated riding pedal bike & getting laces caught in chain(s)...

not wanting to be stupid on this but what about other road debris??Back in the 70s we ran velocity stacks with screens and no air cleaner. It sure seemed we had this combination apart a bunch .I would think the procharger would inhale all the same road debris and decide to turn into salvage fairly quick
