So Laconia bike week (June 13-21) happens to fall during my vacation this year and I'm thinking of making that my destination.

Any thoughts, tips, experiences and is anyone from Ontario or Quebec heading there?

 

I was thinking about riding to Laconia, what part of ontario are you starting from

 

Bring a good rain suit. Laconia is a great rally but it usually rains a few times.

 

Starting from North Bay area and taking Hwy17 east with a plan to either cross over in Sherbrooke or take my time and loop around the east coast.

 

I've also heard the past few years it's getting LESS biker friendly. The locals if not a store owner are crying about the crowds, noise and bikes.

 

2 years ago on my way back from Dover I rode for 4 hours in rain with the temp hovering around 6 celcius (not including wind chill) and the last 2 hours it snowed. It was a trip from hell and it was stupid on my behalf for not stopping. It was a pride thing in my head at the time for trying to do what others have done.

Anyway after that experience I went out and bought riding gear that will keep me warm, dry and comfortable for any weather so I'm good to go lol
