i just picked up a 2001 sportster to flip. i noticed that the air filter was all nasty and dripping nasty looking gas from it. seems to run good though. i know my buell used to get a little gas on the filter but not like this. it also looked like almost orange when i blew it out with air so maybe it was just a little gas and over time and if it never got cleaned it became a mess?
