Default Carburetor help!

I just picked up a 2005 1200C
Now the previous owner put Rineheart pipe. Has stock intake. It sat in a garage for at least a yr.
My issue is with the carb, I don't think the guy had the jets changed , at a hot idle it stalked 3 separate times. I'm going to clean the carb but do I need to re jet if so what size jets do I need? Any help would be great. I'm also going to get new spark plugs.

the plug is certainly dirty, but doesn't look entirely too bad... is everything else stock beyond the rhinehart?...if so, a 185 (maybe 190) and 46 should be fine

Yes everything beyond the Rineheart is factory. Maybe a upgrade on the intake will help?

there's no real upgrade you can make to the intake... i mean, you could help the carb breath better with a K&N, but if it continues to stall while riding, I might look at doing a mild rejet... if it sat, maybe clean out the lines and rebuild the carb with a new accelerator pump and make sure the needle valve isn't sticking

Stick with the basics. Get the fuel system cleaned out. Check for flow from the petcock, clean the in the tank screen, replace fuel lines, remove carb and clean the hell out of it with a couple cans of carb cleaner and a compressor (go easy on the pressure).

Check the carb to manifold seal, then the manifold to cylinder head seals (replace), but before doing that, I would check fuel flow, then clean the carb.

Nice looking bike! YD

Thanks for the help guys, I'm going to break the carb and fule lines down tomorrow. I put some 93 fule in yesterday and some seafoam. The stalling did get better. Hasn't completely stalled out and shut off since, it did feel like it wanted to a few times though, but I gave a little trottle and it stayed alive.
It seams like it's just not getting the right fule / air mixture to run at it prime.
What do you guys think about the Rineheart pipes? I had Rush slip on pipes on my last sportster 883 iron and they sounded and performed great.

Plugs should be a brown/light gray color not black black is fuel/rich. That plug is no good. The electrode looks worn too. change the plugs. I bet it ran fine before he parked it. So just clean the carb. Change the plugs. And imo 93 octane you bike has no work done to it. Higher octane is made for higher compression. The higher octane gas burns at a higher temp. More compression bigger explosion more heat to burn the higher octane.

I put new plugs in over the weekend, I'm waiting on a dyno jet kit to come in the mail. I'm also thinking about a Arlen Ness big sucker stage 1 to go with the Rineheart pipes and new jets? Any thoughts or recordations.?.

with the new pipes and the AN big sucker, you will need to rejet a bit... would be curious to know what's in there now, then go from there
