Default Rejet due too altitude

I have an 02 DWG it has a 88 cubic inch motor and aCV carb. This is my first time going to Sturgis and I was wondering if I need to rejet carb in the higher elevation.

what is your current elevation? does your bike run good at your current elevation? Sturgis elevation is under 3500 feet so I would think that if your bike is running good at sea level, or close to it it should run decent at 3500 feet. You could always bring along a main jet sized smaller just in case. Now if you wanted to run it in Denver air then id say you need to jet down but I think you'll be ok.

It is a constant velocity carb, you don`t need to adjust anything when the altitude changes, just ride.

If you are going to relocate to higher elevations, then you might need to rejet...but if you are only visiting or passing through, I would think that you are GTG...
