Default replacing fuel fitting question

Hi. 94 1200 sportster . I need to replace the fitting on the carb to the gas line. I understand this is a press fit & was looking for any tip's on removal & install, I'am thinking grab it with vice grips & have at it. Thanks.

I used a 1/4 x 20 tap, long 1/4 X 20 screw a couple of nuts, washers and a piece of PCV pipe. I threaded out the brass fitting, put the PCV pipe against the carb threaded the nut onto the screw then the washer and threaded the screw unit into the carb fitting, used the nut to extract the fitting and a soft vice to press the new fitting into the carb. Be sure of the angle of the old fitting before destroying the plastic piece to get to the brass you will need to match the angle of the new brass fitting on installation otherwise your fuel line may not be long enough or you will have issues installing the carb because the fuel line is in the way of the choke, cylinder or the air cleaner back-plate.
