I am trying against the flow of time to keep my Road King full stock. Where can I get a rebuild kit for my original vacuum petcock? She's started leaking. And what the hell is with HD? Why don't they stock parts? I gave up looking for an original throttle cable and went with high quality aftermarket. I can see how a fully original bike is a rare bird.

Road King full stock..darn good idea. That vacuum petcock is like the bank angle kill switch on a FI. Offers protection from a needle drip plus safety it a drop.

You can buy the parts individually but I've never seen a kit. Go to Ronnies Harley and access their microfische for the part numbers for your fuel valve.

 

I need to take the darn thing apart and see what I've got. Went to drive to work and found it leaking.

My vacuum petcock left me stranded once- diaphragm ruptured. I replaced the diaphragm with a kit that amounted to a solid backplate and a plug for the vacuum line. Cost about $20 and removed a potential gremlin from my ride.

 

We offer that here as well, BUT, by the time we do that (ie labor) it is almost more cost effective simply to replace with new, OEM, or a Golan high-flow fuel valve, after consulting with the client.
