I have a 2005 FLHR and now have a chance to purchase an S&S Super "G" carb. Is The Super "G" too much for the stock 88 engine. Will it work or is it better to wait for a Super "E".. Thanks in advance

 

Not an easy question to answer! I have a G on my S&S 107" engine, but on their later 111" engine they fit an E. Doesn't seem to make sense, but they know best. Certainly a G on a stock or close to stock TC88 engine sounds like too much and an E should be a better starting point.

 

Unless you go with a big bore kit (98") with stage III (hi flow heads) the E will perform very well....

 

To be truthfull, your existing CV(?) carb works VERY well once jetted corretly.
