What he said! My MM injected bike had the map under the side cover, when I swapped it to the carb, I put the same sensor into the intake like the picture above.

Changed the pilot to a 45 and the main to 195. Surprised at how much the low end performance increased. Very noticeable change. I think I'll keep it there for a while and see how she does.

I know this is a really old post but did changing the jets fix your problem? I have In 03 Road King and having the same problem when it is warm. The motor was rebuilt last year with 584 cams. I'm not sure about the other details, only that it at 107 now rather than 88. But I'm still running the same cv40 as before with no changes. So what was the final outcome on your bike?

To be honest, I don’t remember the exact details, however, pretty sure the larger jets helped. Shortly after this post I picked up a 2018 RGS.

Thanks. I'm having issues starting after short stops. I'll try changing the jets and see if that works.

Well, if it is a bigger displacement plus cams, that will definitely require larger jets. Might be a good idea to check everything in the carb. Get a good rebuild kit and make sure the float is adjusted properly. Good chance it does need a larger main jet. Needle settings could be critical too.

@Jjcouch139
You should start your own thread.. You'll get more responses that way.. Also about over to the newbie thread and say hello (New Members)

For starters though with a built 107"er, I would get at the least a CV44 or a Mikuni 45 or even an S&S G..
