S&S carb to a kurakyn hyper air filter will it perform better than the old silt tear drop S&S air filter. On a other note there is a lot of gas in the filter on the s&s carb. Thanks for any input Ride safe

 

I really doubt it. The S & S is a long proven design which has proven it's efficiency by drag racers and gearheads for decades. The kurakyn hyper is a hokey looking fake blower intake. If you have a lot of fuel in your filter, you have something else going on. Rebuild your carb.

 

The Kurakyn "choker" will not help any motor. The tear drop flows very well... Like said, Figure out your fuel problem.

Last year American Iron magazine ran tests on a number of aftermarket breathers. Their conclusion was the old standby S&S breather was right at the top of the list for flow.

 

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Concentrate on sorting out the fuel problem with your carb, before changing anything else. You might be surprised how well your bike can perform when the carb is properly set up! You should find instructions for your carb on the S&S website and can also buy an overhaul kit, so you can strip, clean and rebuild it.

 

always run the teardrop on my shovel gas super e S&S 88 cid. High perf cams and all the good stuff Never a doubt on performance and even better than without luck. Wild Bill
