I had the same gas problem. I went in and subtracted 5 from every number in the crusing range. On my 06 that was about 2800 rmp to 3200 rpm. Gave me the best gas milage since stock. Performance did not suffer to much. Heat came back a little.
If you have popping on deceleration you can add a 10 or a 15 or a 20 in the 0 throttle column (all the way to the left) from 1250 rpm to 4000 rpm. start with a 10 if still popping then change the values to 15 or 20 until it stops. Works great. Uses a small amout more gas but stops the popping. good luck. I just sold my PCIII for $14,000 threw in the 06 Ultra with the deal.

+1 The only true way to set-up the A/F ratio is a Dyno. Also keep in mind that the newer bikes come lean from the factory, thus making them run richer is going to affect your mpg. My gas mileage sucks, but I don't care because the bike runs great. Besides, that I drive a Hummer so anything better than 10 mpg gives me a chubby...lol.
