ok I posted this a while back and didnt get all the answers I needed ... I was thinking about putting a diffrent tank on my softail ... the tank is close to a sportster tank just a little diffrent ... i have no problem doing a little fab work to get the fuel pump in there just want to know if the sportster fuel pump and softail fuel pump work in the same manner .. I want to keep a fuel gauge and have drawn up plans for bracket to move my speedo and fuel gauge ... what I want to know is does the EFi sportster pump put out the same fuel pressure and does the tank level meter use the same ohm's reading as the softail tank level sensor ... thanks for all your help ..

 

Fuel injected sportsters don't have a gauge, just a idiot light when approx 1 gallon left
