So far so good. Seems to be better. Alls I did was clean and soak the bowl and pump tube, slot is clean now. The spray is better, not quite a mist like tech support said, but better. Didn't wanna tear I to it too deep right now. Have a big rally tomorrow. Prolly gonna just rebuild the whole carb over winter, which is right around the corner. I will update after the weekend, gonna put on a few hundred miles. Thanks!

Put 300 miles on this past weekend and it ran like a champ! Pic of bike with new tank bra before we left. And a shot of the rally at Lake Pepin, MN.

for sure! It even starts better now. After its been ridden and warmed up I don't need the enrichener most of the time. Idles realm good. Pretty happy!

just got my studded tank bra on too. Love that thing. Completes the look I've been going for. My other bike is all studded too. No mistaking they are mine. Thanks much!

Default Update and Vent Question:

Recently I had an issue with my accellerator pump spray not being consistent and bike would run real rough at times. Seems to be worse in colder weather. It's been good for a couple weeks, but the other night it happened again for a short while. I do plan on installing a full rebuild kit in the S&S SuperE carb this winter. I was just wondering if my tank isn't venting properly restricting fuel flow to my carb at times. The fact that it always seems to happen when the weather is cold. This must have some effect on the expansion of the fuel, tank, lines, gaskets etc...

I just read thru this thread and in the end the guy said his tank quit releasing the pressure when removing the cap by simply flipping the cap gasket seal around. But then there was no more posts. That was back in 2012. So was it a solution? Who knows.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/evo-cl...ed-or-not.html

So I don't know if I have an issue or not really. My tank does have the vent line from the console and the filler neck. But I also assume some vacuum and pressure is normal. But should I always hear the pressure release when removing the cap?

You shouldn't hear anything when you release the cap.
If you hear air then it is vacuum.
check your tank cap vent /vents.

air must get in the tank for gas to flow out

Thanks much! I will definitely check it out. Probably just replace it with new.

I actually can feel the air being pushed out from the tank when I release the cap. I did flip the rubber gasket around, and tested the vent with air pressure. It is moving, I hear the tell tale duck quack sounds when air is pushed through it.

Might just be coincidence but I am getting ready to winterize the bikes. Doing this I always add some Sea Foam to the gas and run it into the system real good before parking them. This is my 1st time doing this on the Harley. Last few days I have noticed gas leaking from the overflow tube coming from the Super E carb. This last puddle was pretty good sized as it had sat for quite a few days before I noticed it again. Had to shut off the pet ****.

Thinking the seam foam kicked some crud loose and it is stopping the float needle from seating? Sound about right? I ordered a full rebuild kit as I had planned on doing it over the winter anyways. So for now I am just monitoring it. Only a week or 2 left in the season anyways.
