I remember those decals. I was very young and got my first small Harley in '76. I always wanted a 1000cc Sportster with the Bicentennial Graphics on it. Its a wonder HD survived the AMF years.

That's cool, I see those ads In my old easy mags. I just sold a 76 ironhead to a friend.(his first Harley) BTW, I was born that year. It is a beautiful tank, I'm just selling to get money to pay for a 78 shovelhead I found. Thanks for sharing your story.

whats the condition of the inside? Any rust? And again how much do you want for it.

I can't afford that tank,
But I wanted to let Sharpie know that if it weren't for AMF there would be no Harley Davidson, Everybody sheet's on AMF but they bailed out a dying company, I ride a 77 Ironhead it take me anywhere I want to go. It doesn't use or leak a drop of oil and can out run a lot of crotch rockets, See no Evo, Hear no Evo, Ride no Evo, JK I like the new one's too...
