Default servi car rear end compatibility

<p>A friend just pick up a 51 servi car winter project (**** pics to come). The pumpkin on the 51 has seen better days. he found one on the net with no inners. The thought is to hopefully stuff the 51 inners to the one on the net which is marked 128 40 HD. Above that there appears to be K9 stamped. Does anyone know if these rear ends are compatible or what these numbers mean. What years model would be compatible with the 1951. Thanks in advance Beau

I believe the inners are the same. There are basically 2 models of rear ends 41 to 50 and 51 and later. The major difference is one has juice brakes the other mechanical. Check your parts manual to be sure.
