what makes your pushrod bend and break
I have a std panhead road it for 38 miles stoped at the light and went to take of and ran like **** I saw the pushrod jumpin around pulled the chrome sleeve and my push rod was bent and broke. Oil shot all over my bike? Anyone know what causes that???

Excessive rpm's or too tight, or tight valve guide or valve got hot and stem expanded and went tight in guide.

If the pushrod was locked tightly, lifter roller was in good shape, and assuming solid lifters...........valve seat came out of the head?
