I did last year and it didn't do much at all.. I only used it to get old bugs off and it didn't get 1 spec off

Lol actually I found it on Amazon It's called "boners bug buster & chrome cleaner"

I use one pretty frequently. Just use my soapy wash water while I am washing the bike. Does a nice job of getting off the stuck on crap that doesn't wash off easily.
Just be careful you don't get any kind of grit stuck to it, that would do a number to the paint.
