Default S 100

I remember reading somewhere that S 100 was not good to use on my bike. I have used it in the past and thought it was fine. What do you all recommend to clean a dirty bike. I am not talking dusty, i mean coming home from a road trip dirty.

I spray on S100 first, hose it off. (make sure you follow the S100 instructions) Then I use this to wash the bike> http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...e-wash-and-wax
I also use HD Wheel & Tire Cleaner.

S100 works but will etch your aluminum if not rinsed & wiped thoroughly. Its expensive too.

Do yourself a favor:

Amazon Amazon

Cleans as well & less of an etching problem.

Here is S100 total cycle cleaner that was spilled on a sealed cement floor. It was quickly cleaned up. Do you want this on your bike?
Now S100 Corrosion Protectant when used right is outstanding.

S100 is a brand with about 10 items on the market.
What S100 product specifically is being discussed ?

The same soap you would always use. It is water that softens it and the soap breaks the bond and carriers the dirt away. If you can find it Try Wizards it cleans and suds up well but will not do what S100 will to it with that acid. If the bike is clean before it gets dirty it cleans up easier.
You don't have to make it hard to keep it looking good no madder how much you ride.

S100 is like Mobil 1 V-Twin 20-50.... some swear by it, others swear at it. (I'm in the swear at it camp on both).

If you use it, be very careful, maybe test it on something else first.

Maybe the engine brightener but not the regular S100 for me.
If you miss even a spot it looks like a pecker track and is near impossible to get off.
I'll pass.
