Ideas for removing "overspray" like residue left from bike cover
Hey fellas,
Last year I was sold a Harley MoCo bike cover. It was a two tone cover, the top part black, the lower parts silver. Where silver part of the cover has made contact with certain parts (e.g. portions of the frame, footpegs, turn signal lenses, etc) it has left a some of that silver color on the surface. It almost resembles what overspray would look like.
Before I go get ahead of myself, any suggestions on what I should try to use to remove it? In all my years detailing when I was younger I was always amazed what a little windex and a soft cloth could do with some applications. I just don't want to go crazy on my dear bob!
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Its matted onto the paint. When I first noticed it it was on my left driver foot peg. I scratched it with my fingernail as hard as I could and it scratched off. Its almost like the heat fused melted part of that silver material onto the paint.
I thought maybe there was someone hanging around here who has significant detailing experience that would have a product in mind that won't harm the paint.
Having spent my high school years and first summer between semesters at college detailing at Lamborghini Ohio for Greg Nelson the thought of soap and water had already crossed my mind
