You'll need this or better, if you live near the ocean. The bristle brush below is H-D. A nice chrome-tanned leather lanyard, but the natural bristle bends under damp conditions. After spraying ProtectAll on the brush, I cram it into every place I can, so that the spokes exposed will develop a thin-dry, milky coating. Now I can see what's covered. Then with the brass brush turned up on top of a rag, I blast a bit into the bristles and attack the spokes and nipples and threads and where the spokes lace into the hub. You can feel when the pits are gone and it won't take long. (Forney 70490 Wire Scratch Brush, Brass with Wood Handle, 7-3/4-Inch-by-.006-Inch)
The ProtectAll dried coating comes off easily from every surface, and as mentioned, it also removes dried Nevr-Dull from wrinkle black motor parts.
Then, I put a t-shirt over the H-D brush and use that to remove the bulk of the dried coating through the spokes. It's core is vinyl-coated wire, so it fits between the smallest spoke-opening. Hand-wiping the rest. Black nitryl gloves hold-up well. Clean the brake discs while your at it. Spraying brake cleaner on a rag and wiping, works better than drenching the plate.

The best use for one of those Costco Oral-B, 8-pak Criss-Cross toothbrushes. Soak the bristles only with ProtectAll.

I have the 50 spoke fat daddy's on my deluxe they have been on it now about 7 years they have stainless spokes and what I do is. I spray the wheels with s 100 let it sit a little hit the white walls with a mr clean magic eraser rinse then spray the wheels again with simple green I bought this cleaning device from Walmart it's like a wheel cleaner it's about eight inches but it's covered with a micro fiber cloth fits between the spokes well and I have the bike on the jack and rotate it hitting each spoke from both sides rinse and blow dry hit the chrome part of the rim with chrome cleaner and they look great seven years and still look like new my wheels are from ride wright
