Fiberglass repair
I don't know if I'm posting in the right place, but has anyone had any experience repairing cracks and road rash on a fiberglass saddlebag? I don't have a clue. Do you use the layer method with the fiberglass cloth, or is there a fiberglass filler product that would work?

RE: Fiberglass repair
Both.. fiberglass repair requires some practice. Looks easy but not always fun to do.. If you have the time and proper sanding equipment then you can do it.
Road rash can be filled with a good quality fiberglass filler typ product unless the road rach is all the way through leaving open holes.. In that case a backing fiberglas cloth is required.
Fiberglass mixing can be a little touchie... Mix too hot and you have to work fast or have hardened lumps etc. Mix too cold and it takes for ever to cure (even if it does cure)
Experiement on a couple different things with small samples of fiberglass before attempting to repair you hard bag..
