Sorry guys, I get a ton of PM's and I've been way, way too busy to answer them.
I just logged on for the first time in like 8 months and saw so many PM's I just hit delete... can't do it, sorry.
If I'm on this site it's because I got a minute... 1

What's the best way to bring the shine back from the last polish (think paint only)? I'm thinking I should wash and dry, and then spritz the paint with a little water and hit it with the orbital. Kind of like a spit shine on a pair of shoes. Any help would be appreciated.
The "spit-shine" approach does not work with clear coat.

Polishing the paint adds clarity and gloss to the paint.
Wax, sealants and coatings protect the paint
IMHO
A good wax lasts 2-6 weeks
A good sealant lasts 3-6 months
A good coating lasts 1-2 years (or more)

You can apply a wax or sealant after a wash and dry.
You can even use Quick Detail products (like Megs Ultimate Detailer) for added shine if a reapplication of your LSP is not needed.
Orbital is not needed after a wash unless you are just using to apply a wax or sealant.

I hope this clarified your question and my answer.

If you're doing it by hand I'd suggest trying Meguiars Ultimate Compound then follow with Megs Ultimate Polish. They are available at your local auto-parts store or Wal-Mart.

I'm sorry I didn't know it was your personal thread. Somehow I believed this was a community of folks helping folks. I apologize. I'm not one to step on anyones toes or ego.

BTW - I "sell" nothing also. I am a pro detailer. I may have a different approach to the 4 P's (Paint, Products, Pads and Process) than you but that does not make me wrong.
I try to offer advice that a "newbie" can use that is helpful and works for me. That does not make my approach wrong it just makes it different than yours. It works for me.

Not all folks agree with my approach to the 4 P's and it appears not all folks agree with your approach. Bottom Line - "Find what you like and use it often."

Ok, I fill silly. I can't find your link to your detailing course. Nothing shows up in your signature except Ontario Riders & Nova Scotia Riders.
