never use anything to wipe your bike that used to be wood

 

I`d rather take my T-shirt off to wipe the tank than a rough paper towel. [8D]

Doesn't everyone have a rag on their head, in their pocket and in their saddlebags (if you have them). Paper on paint? Not unless you're masking it off to repaint it.

 

An old timer told me that if I dribble fuel on the tank, just let it dry. You can see a slight outline where it was but that cleans right up with a touch of cleaner/wax & the correct micro-fiber towel when I get home. Been doing that way for years.

 

Just don't wipe it at all. The gas will evaporate quickly. When you wash it again you'll feel better.

 

I would rather take my bride's tshirt off to wipe the tank.

 

I use the paper towels but, I just dab it, no wiping...set it down and soak it up.
