Denim Black Owners - New Cleaner/Protector
I should start this off by saying that if you are fine with the wash and ride approach to Denim Black, this post probably isn't for you. But if you are like me and have a mild case of OCD when it comes to care for your bike, I found a great product.
On my Denim Black paint I've used Harley Gloss (to shiny and streaky), Windex (worked fine but almost seemed to dry the paint out) and Harley Denim Paint Cleaner (best of the three but doesn't offer any protection).
After an exhaustive search I came across Meticulous Matte Detailer-For Satin Finish & Matt Finish Paint by an auto detail company in California called Chemical Guys - http://www.chemicalguys.com/Meticulo...spi_995_16.htm
I'm completely blown away at how good this stuff is. It contains no silicates or waxes and added a sleek feel to the paint without any gloss or shine. Nothing will stick to it. Bugs and dirt wipe right off with your hand. It's amazing
The best part is that unlike windex or H-D denim paint cleaner, it adds UV protection to the paint.
Here are a couple pics. Obviously it's hard to capture all this in pics, you'll just have to take my word for it if you want to try it.
