no i dont think its the windshield the front end isnt as raked as a wide glide
Yes there is more rake on the wide glide, and its a great looking bike but the wide glide has no where the same amount of handling, and is not worth the sacrifice on a ride, if you ride in the country mountains or canyons. If you want that more of a stunning bike then yeah wide glide. I think the Low Rider is better functionally.
My local dealership does not even carry one due to lack of demand and only has one switchback I have seen.
i mean the wide glides look like they got more rake than my lowrider it looks kinda stubby
That's because the WG has more rake.
Just trade it in for a WG and your problems are over.
After all it's only money.
Better than wishing you had something you simply don't have.
Wide Glide has a couple degrees rake in the frame, a couple degrees in the trees, and 2" longer fork tubes. The 21" front wheel makes a big visual difference also.
I have a FXDC, which is the same geometry and front end as your Low Rider, and I added 2" longer fork tubes and a 21" front wheel. I kept the rake stock. Minimal (to me at least) changes in the handling, but I think it looks way better than stock.
If you really want more rake, you can just add 3 deg raked trees, but many people say that it negatively affects handling. I've never tried it myself.
