Default Widest Front Tire on a Wide Glide?

Anyone know what the widest front tire that will fit the original fender on a 02' Wide Glide? I'd like to put a little bigger tread footprint on the pavement.

90/90/21 with the stock 21x2.15 rim. If you change the fender and wheel you can do 21x3.5 with a 120/70/21 tire.

Thanks for the reply, looks like you can only go a little bigger without getting into a fair amount of cost and effort.

Nice WG. I have a 2002 myself....good year huh lol

I admit that skinny front tire makes me nervouse sometimes. I'm going to put a 90/90 on the front next time but don't really know if any difference will be made.

Your title says rear tire. Anyone know the widest "rear" tire you can put on a 2014 WG? (stock wheel)
And also how wide with an aftermarket wheel and tire still clears the belt etc..?

Thanks for pointing that out. I edited the title, but it would be good to know about the largest size for the rear tire without mods as well.

You might consider a car tire. This is a 195/45/17 tire. I have a Fat Baggers rear end on the bike. That includes a wider swing arm, wider rear fender, 1/2 spacers that go behind the primary to stand it out from the engine and tranny and a 1/2" longer tranny mainshaft.

I think Twincruiser and I both are asking-

1. What would be the widest motorcycle tire that can be run on the stock rear wheel?

2. What would be the widest motorcycle tire that can be run on an aftermarket rear wheel (to accommodate the wider tire) but stock swing arm, fender and drive belt.

When I say motorcycle tire I mean something like an Avon Cobra.
