Default Fuel Pump

Hi folks:

Just fired my bike up this evening (it's been sitting since Sunday) and I noted that the fuel pump made a very distressed sound - I figure it lost it's prime or something like that. It's done this before after sitting a few days. Is this normal, anybody else noticed this? It's fine after the bike runs and starts.

Thanks!

Seems to be normal. I noticed it recently on my 14' fxdf. Did some searching around here and came to the conclusion its a non-issue. I posted on an older thread very recently about it.
Oh, its actually the regulator making the rattle/screeching noise.

Pressure bleeds off in a few. That is why the relay has a 3 second timer in it not controlled by the ECM's crank angle position sensor,
