I use a Fieldline Pro series that I picked up at Sheels sporting goods, around 60 bucks. I use it for traveling to work, but I'm sure it would handle a 500 mile ride easy. Padded back and padded shoulder straps. It's camo, so as to not upset the sensibilities of those, you know, 1 percenters.

I know that backpacks are the trendy thing to wear but i'll be damned if I'll screw up my back in the name of fashion. There are plenty of throw over bags you can use that are easily removed.

I sport a Dakine backpack. I like that it has a specific pocket for my sunglasses also has straps for a skateboard that work nicely to strap it to my sissy bar.

What circles are you running in where back packs are trendy? Throw over bags suck. They rub paint and chrome and flap like wings when yer over 70mph.

I have the Harley backpack that attaches to my sissy bar. Works great for work but might be small for a week long trip.

I have a twenty year old leather-bottom Jansen that I strap on the sissy bar sometimes and a mil-surp 3-day pack that I use for a BOB, but I just cannot see myself wearing one while riding...

It doesn't take long to pull up the seat and toss on the leather throw-over bags...

Are you kidding? Backpacks are everywhere. Ball players wear them to the post game interviews. Packs are more popular than ever before.

Throw over bags can be tied down. I believe there are even easily removable saddlebag supports.
