Warning!! 21" Jireh Cycles Wheel Possible Issue
I started to do some homework on which spokes I should buy as I don't want to reuse my stock spokes and I found an issue.
My 2012 Street Bob hub has 38 spokes and the new Jireh cycles wheel is a 40 spoke wheel. I guess the MOCO made a change on the newer Bob.
So anyone still considering this mod with a newer bike, make sure you check your spoke count.
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive 40 spoke hub that I can use?

"So I just picked up my 21" Jireh wheel from the coater today. It looks really good. So far I'm only in $75. $45 for wheel and $30 for coating. I'm very anxious to get it mounted.
One question though. If the inside diameter is the same as a stock 19", why do we need to lace it differently? Holes laid out different?"

Because the spokes won't reach. They are like a 1/4" to short or something when you lace it 1 over 4. That's the only explanation!! I know not much, but that's all I got, lol!. It's been a long time since I took the measurements, but I think the drop center on the Jeriah was just a hair bigger making the lacing patter 1 over 3 work.

Thanks for the comments. I will take some before and after pics...hopefully I will remember.
I'm likely going to wait until the weather changes, so I won't miss any riding days. California. It's still like summer out here.
Thanks for the lacing info. I have a link saved to the How To and will be attempting to lace it up myself and then take it someplace to be trued and the tire balanced.

Did you buy new spokes or are you going to reuse your existing spokes? I've heard that you should buy new spokes but I've also seen that a lot of the guys that have done this swap just reused their existing spokes.
