Street Bob Tank Lift

Street Bob Tank Lift
I've got an 11 Street Bob that I'm trying to install a 2" tank lift on and the wire bundle is pretty tight trying to get it where it needs to be to bolt on. Any advice on what to do from here? I am hoping there is some trick to get some more slack on those wires.
I had to go take care of some things when I was part way through it so I had to leave it without being able to get into it more at the time.
Thanks in advance!

You might want to try pulling the tank completely and pulling what wires you have available out. Might be zip tied together or something under there. I know I got a bit more out when I changed my bars than I had when I started after I pulled the tank and pulled all my wire out. Was just kinda stuffed in there weird and tangled.

As for the top of the tank, there is the gauge cluster harness, the gas gauge harness and a vent hose. The bottom is another small gas gauge pigtail and the quick disconnect fuel line. I suspect it is the gauge cluster harness that is too tight. Unscrew the gauge facia and try to work that a bit loose.
Everything is packed up in the underside of the frame's backbone. All of the harness connectors are all jammed in there together and they tend to get kinda knotted up. Also note that there is usually a black plastic cover on the underside. Once you pull that off you can then get your fingers up in there and work out some slack. However, to get to this point you still will have to pull the tank anyway.

That was the problem. Now that part is done I have realized the bolts are not long enough....back to the hardware store.

It was a 2" that I made for about 5 bucks. Did not need a new crossover hose.
I bought 2 of these at 2"
You keep the flat part and can toss the rest.
Then rough up the flat part and paint it whatever color you would like. (I did flat black).
I was able to reuse the bolt that was there for the lower mount. Then 2 5/16" bolts for the top.
It would've been nice to have an extra set of hands to make it a bit easier but I did it by myself. Once I cut the zip tie that held a fuel line to the neck it took probably 10 - 15 minutes to do.
