Default Powder Coating Opinions Please

I have a Vivid Black 09 Fatbob. Thinking of powder coating (gloss black) primary cover, battery cover and some other lower parts. Just wondering if anyone else has done it and how it looks. Think it would be a nice contrast to the chrome and a good compliment to the vivid black.

Just do it. Powder is fairly cheap and if you don't like it, change it.

I think it will look great! One day I will do my primary.

Go to the harley dealer and check out the CVO bikes....they have gloss black primary covers.

Wrinkle black looks awesome as well. Breaks up the "shiney" stuff.

Go for it if you like the gloss black look. I do!

Got sick of all the chrome on mine, so im working on blacking some parts out.
Had the primary, fuse box covers and belt covers done last winter.

I like the look so far, plus there's a myriad of different derby covers to customize the primary.

That sounds like it would look good. Powder is awesome. Durable, cheap, good finish... a lot of that depends on the quality of the powdercoater, but my local guy is great. I would have gone with JRK5892 (Joe) if he wasn't over 1,000 miles away from me. If you've been around these forums you know he's the go-to guy for powdercoating. Great reputation and quality.
