S&S makes special application cases that are "Evo" mount.

TC FXR really not that huge of a job.

Just a small correction: FXR4 was 2000. FXR2 & FXR3 were both 1999's.
FXR2,3,4...all EVO

Myself I would enjoy a FXR with either a S&S 103 Shovelhead after the frame is modified or the S&S 93H Shovelhead without any frame mods.

If the MoCo was smart the would produce this bike, and not in the form of some CVO ***** either. The OG FXR fans would buy them like hot cakes.

I'm almost ready to jump, but not quite.

Actually, the bike looks great. Personally, I can't see dumping all that money into a 124" TC power plant, and not doing a thing to the brakes and suspension, but I guess that's the builder's call.

I still prefer a FXR with an unmolested frame, and an Evo engine built to my specs. Add this to improved brakes and suspension, and you have a very reliable and formidable motorcycle that won't disappoint.

I was going to mention this also. Single piston calipers, rusty brake lines, couldn't even throw on an air cleaner cover and timer cover. I'd be embarrassed to display a bike like that but I like the idea and I'd assume it's a work in progress. The one pictured isn't a 124 but s&s does make their twin cam 124 and 126 that drop in an evo frame. A super light fxr with big brakes, suspension and a tc 126 is my dream bike.
