Default 2008+ 25mm swap onto 2006/7 1inch axle

Anyone done a 2008+ 25mm black rim spoke wheel onto 2006/7 1inch axle? I read rear is straight swap and front requires different width spacer anyone know for sure. I can measure myself just seeing if anyone knows off hand

1inch Inner diameter bearings already installed

Both years use the same rim build up and the same mid glide tree setup. So you want to add new black wheel / rim build up using stock 1" bearings and axle correct? If that the case the stock spacers should also work, after all, all your doing is changing a color of the hoop on the OEM build up used since 2006 for the Street Bob. All HD did was change the bearing, axle and spacers to achive the 25mm they wanted. A 25mm spacer should work on a 1" axle but not eht other way around do to the 25mm being .4mm bigger then 1".

1" spacers, bearing and axle for your 06"

Also, both axle sizes will work in the fork lowers (from what I have read).

Hope that helps.

If 1" bearings are installed in those wheels they both should bolt right up. I don't believe the hub areas were any wider.

I think you have this backwards. 1" = 25.4mm

Yes, I stand corrected. A 1" spacer should work on a 25mm axle and the 25mm spacer won't work on the 1" axle. I knew where I was going just went in the wrong order, thanks for catching that 24v. Sorry if it mislead you the OP.

Anyways, as long as the OP uses either all 25mm axle, spacers and bearings or the 1" version of all 4 parts he should be able to accomplish his goal.

Yeah I got the 1inch Inner bearings in the wheels and put front rotor on and while the bike was on the stand slid the rotor in the brake pads slipped the axle through. Seemed like the front wanted a wider spacer. Now granted I didnt tighten it down but the gap I saw made me think I needed different width spacer. I thought maybe because the depth of the hub of the single row it sat slightly different offset. Maybe Ill try again. I foubd out the hard way swap those weak *** torx bolts for sum hex head ones
