Default Help with Dyna Wheel's 3/4 to 1 inch

I have searched until I am blue in the face and can not find the answer I am looking for. I got a sweet deal on a set of 2003 Super Glide Mags (3/4 front and rear bearings) that i want to powdercoat and put on my 2006 Street Bob (1 inch front and rear bearings).

-I have read that it is just a bearing and sleeve swap

-I have read that its requires boring of the hub for the sleeve and the bearings will fit

-I have read that both the bearing hole and center hole must be bored for the bearings and sleeve

What gives?

Do I just need to order 1" Bearings and sleeve for an 06 Super Glide with the mags and slap them in and go? Its all very confusing.

* One final question*

As far as the outer spacers go, can i just order a set for an 06 Super Glide for the front and rear go for it?

Thanks!!

Josh

Well first They are both Double Row Bearings (longer lasting than 08+ single row 25mm).

The 1 inch and 25mm are same Outter Diameter except the 25mm are only about half as deep in the Hub so you have to buy Single row bearings that are whichever Inner diameter you need.

I have done THIS MYSELF first hand

however

Now What you are asking is about the 3/4 which we see all the time I havent measured myself but I know they are same Double row (same depth and outer Diameter) which will fit on the hub. I havent done it but as far as I know the hubs are same just swap the bearings for larger Inner Diameter to fit you axles and brakes

You will need to bore the center out to accept the one inch center sleeve. Once that is done all you need to do is install the 06+ bearings and center sleeve.

The back wheel should be a direct swap using your factory spacers. I've heard numerous times that the earlier front hubs were narrower so wider spacers may be needed.

Hope this helps.
