I need to know if the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System was standard on 2007 Harley Dyna FXDB. (It looks like it was standard according to my manual but I want to be absolutely sure) Thanks!


PS - The reason I am asking is because I bought one used from a dealership. It was in an ebay auction and sellers are supposed to list all defects and problems a bike has. I was expecting it to have the security system with fob but it has nothing, and the auction made no mention of the security system having been removed. (Frankly, if the security system did not come standard, then I am just wrong and will forget about it. But if it was standard, the dealership screwed up by not disclosing that it was removed.)

Nope, its optional.

 

It was optional on my '14 SuperGlide.

 

I can't speak for an '07, but it was definitely optional on my '13 Bob.

 

its optional, although some dealers were throwing it in as a promotion.

One of the reasons I was worried about it is because there is an aftermarket gauge on the bike - and on this gauge the security light is constantly lit. At first I thought there was a problem that was never disclosed to me and then I thought that maybe the security system was removed. Now I think the security system was never there to begin with - and this aftermarket gauge just lights up the security light for no real reason...perhaps a wiring issue, perhaps no real reason.

 

$325 option in model year 2007.

 

Post a pic of aftermarket gauge. Constant security light represents lighting issue. Check your bulbs. Not running led signals are you?
